Billie-Ann & Steve | Dunbar House, Watsons Bay Wedding

There were so many times during the day where we’d look over at the radiant Billie-Ann and Steve and in spite of being surrounded by the most incredible sunset, beautiful styling, overjoyed family and friends, they seemed to literally have eyes for one another: laughing and giggling non-stop and making cheeky quips to one another throughout the day. This gorgeous pair got married on a warm and balmy Autumn day over at Dunbar House intent on having one big celebration of life’s wonderful adventures and all the good people in their lives. A big focus of the day was to make sure everything was simple and relaxed which was made easy holding their day over at the lovely grounds of Dunbar House. I love shooting over at Dunbar House: perched on the shores of Watsons Bay, it’s nestled in the prettiest pocket over in the eastern suburbs in Sydney and provides the most gorgeous all-encompassing spot for an intimate wedding. It’s also a difficult call to make but the lovely Billie-Ann’s exquisite gown by Galia Lahav may very well be one of my all time favourites. We are so incredibly happy for these two grounded and downright hilarious and wonderful humans who are so in love with one another and hope you enjoy this collection from their day.

Katie & Chris - Southern Highlands Wedding

Sometimes you meet two people who sit across from you during our first meeting and it is undeniable how crazily in love they are with each other (NB. If this is you, I will basically always want to photograph your wedding). This what I adore about Katie and Chris - two ridiculously happy, kind and generous souls who you cannot help but immediately warm to, but above all else, they are simply and unabashedly overjoyed about finding one another and being able to spend the rest of their lives together. That sort of joy is infectious and you can see it so clearly across the intimate band of family and friends who made their way out the Jackson Family Homestead in the Southern Highlands to celebrate with them at their festival style wedding. This amazing and talented pair - Katie is a singer and Chris being an audio engineer - celebrated their day with the most incredible food, bonfires, live music in addition to quips and references to their favourite series Gilmore Girls (they absolutely had me at Gilmore Girls). Their talented friend Brendan styled the entire property with stunning chandeliers, chiffon curtains, the most beautiful and carefully curated antique instruments adding an entire line of various “retro wedding gowns” as a feature. The wedding culminated in the most incredibly moving ceremony by Rosie Beaton, followed by their onsite chefs Chef in Your Kitchen who whipped up the most incredibly scrumptious rolling canapés feast for their guests. I can go on about this impossibly delightful day but I hope the images express the enormous and palpable joy this couple brings to their surrounding family and friends, their puppy / child Kronk and above all else, each other.
