This wedding, without a doubt, is one for the floral lovers: those who get a little kick of excitement at the thought of an effortlessly bohemian affair, characterised by a palette of soft and vibrant colours.
Set on the beautiful Burnham Grove Estate, tucked down south about an hour away from Sydney CBD, Helen and Charlie held both their intimate ceremony and reception on the grounds, allowing guests to relax with canapés and drinks interspersed with a vintage lawn games on the venue’s own Croquet Lawn. Helen’s intricate two-piece lace gown (a collaboration between herself and bridal gown couturier Kimberley Woodward) brought an understated and pared-back elegance to offset the other rustic details of the day.
The wonderful Libby from Libs Little Studio was brought in to complete the understated romantic styling with locally grown and foraged florals. If you’re looking to incorporate some effortless bohemian florals into your day, I highly recommend you drop a note to this gorgeously talented and incredibly warm woman.
Guests dined beneath the stars in the Garden Marquee amidst whimsical tablescapes adorned with wildflowers and romantic details. Dashes of cheerful yellow, pink, creams and green foliage pervaded the space. As sunset gave way to the evening cold, everyone escaped into the cosy marquee and sank into delicious autumnal fare prepared by the lovely team from the Chef and I.
